How to Make Stuffed Mussels at Home?

After cooking the rice, it is time to fill the stuffed mussels. Take one of the mussels that we have opened and kept in cold water. To test it, put some rice inside and close the mussel shells and place them on a plate. You will see that the shells of the stuffed mussels do not close completely. If you cut too much of the middle of the curved side while opening the mussel, it may close but ninety percent of it will not close or the shells will open while cooking. To prevent this, take the mussel that has been waiting in cold water in your hand. Hold the lid on the left side with your left hand and the lid on the right side with your right hand and let the inside of the mussel look at you. Move both hands up and down on the opposite side to loosen the muscle in the middle of the mussel. The trick here is to loosen the shells enough to close comfortably without tearing them apart.

After doing this loosening, fill your rice. When putting the rice, be careful not to let the rice spill out too much from the meat. How much rice to put in is completely up to taste. After the rice stuffed mussels are cooked, they will overflow by about twenty percent. Some people like it with more rice, some people like it with less rice. Once you make the stuffed mussels, you can adjust how long you boil them for later.
